Today, our 2nd graders at St. Wenceslaus had an exciting robotics adventure! They discovered something amazing — robots don’t always look like humans. Some are designed to look and move like animals found in nature!

Students got to explore robots inspired by a praying mantis and a scorpion. They learned how scientists and engineers study the way animals move, then use that knowledge to build robots that can walk, climb, or even grab things — just like their animal counterparts!
The students watched in awe as robotic versions of these creatures moved their legs and claws, and they even talked about how these kinds of robots could help in places that are hard for humans to reach.
It was a hands-on, minds-on kind of day — full of fun facts, curiosity, and some very cool robotic critters!
