In Careers in STEAM today, we began the day with an activity on how quickly viruses can spread. It turns out that one infected person can cause an epidemic. There are lots of Science careers and we learned about some of them. The most fun though, was when we got to put on our imaginary lab coats and learn about DNA. Strawberries have 8 sets of DNA, and we were able to extract strands of strawberry DNA. Here are some pictures of our DNA activity.
