Elkhorn Valley View Middle School STEM Night on March 30th, 2023

On March 30th, 2023, Elkhorn Valley View Middle School hosted a STEM Night that brought together organizations from around Omaha to encourage students to explore opportunities in science, technology, engineering, and math. The night was a huge success, with students lining up to try out various hands-on activities and learn about different STEM fields.

One of the most popular activities of the night was Beat Saber, a virtual reality game that allows players to use lightsabers to slice through blocks to the rhythm of music. Students were able to try out the game using VR headsets, which provided an immersive experience that helped to spark their interest in technology.

Another popular activity was the friendly robot dog, Bingo. Students gathered around to watch Bingo perform tricks and interact with them. This activity helped to highlight the advancements in robotics and the potential for using technology to enhance our daily lives.

By exploring these STEM fields through hands-on activities, students were able to gain a deeper understanding of the practical applications of science, technology, engineering, and math. They were able to see how these fields can be used to solve real-world problems and create innovative solutions.
