Meet Jack Cenovic, a Prairie STEM volunteer who has devoted many hours to our Virtual STEM Kits and lessons.

Jack Cenovic is a junior at Brownell Talbot school. He co-founded JuSTEMagine during the summer of 2019, and he currently serves as JuSTEMagine’s President. He enjoys the many service projects JuSTEMagine collaborates on with Prairie STEM. The curriculum design project has allowed him to share his love for STEM with local students via the STEM kit activities he created, which focus on genetics/adaptations and bridge engineering. Outside of his service work, Jack also participates in journalism, robotics, and National Honor Society.

Jack has just finished two lessons for Prairie STEM’s Middle School Virtual STEM Kits. These lessons can be ordered by schools to enrich their students’ STEM education. Our elementary site currently has 72 different lessons that come with a kit of materials. Each kit contains materials for different Science and/or Math activities, all aligned to state and national standards. Prairie STEM is populating the middle school site with lessons that also align to state and national standards. Jack’s lessons have been uploaded to our Middle School Virtual STEM Kits site. Bridge Building Challenge can be viewed here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1rKC0G_PlRP4e7LHQVf9XziqcirytAaKghfBi3g-xEKE/edit and Create an Organism Challenge can be viewed here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1uArswmeVgCunCzeyOa4b2RSDHcGEcfyl3AV3vqWjGKk/edit. Jack has done an amazing job with these lessons and we want to show them off. Thank you, Jack, for your awesome work!

Cox Communication’s Connect Space at 75 North’s Highlander Accelerator building has been the home of the kits in the past few months where we have finished getting them ready to deliver. Thank you to CoxConnect and 75 North for allowing us to assemble, package and distribute these hands-on STEM kits in their facility.
