Gretna Middle School Students Studied Drones at DoSpace

On 2-17 and 2-18-2020, two groups of Gretna Middle School students, one group each day, spent their day at the DoSpace to learn at drones. The students began their day with instruction time learning about difference types of drones, how people are using drones in the workplace today, current FAA laws, possible drone careers, and what is the future of drones. Then the students were split into two groups, one group going to the flying obstacle course, the other moving to the engineering room. The engineering room was set up with the thought of rescue drones. Each small group of students was to engineer their drone with a device to capture a stationary object and pull it up to safety. They recorded and took pictures of the day to add to their movie they were creating.
