We provided STEM Kits sponsored by Olsson Engineering, VR, robot soccer, Nathan’s Thor’s Hammer Demo with lots of magnet lessons, and Bingo, our robot dog to entertain students and families at a Union soccer game at Werner Park.
Prairie STEM had a booth on the top floor of the Highlander Accelerator building where we provided 5 Virtual Reality headsets to play Beat Saber as well as some other apps. Our new robotic dog, Bingo, happily greeted the community.
Second-grade students at Howard Kennedy had fun in hands-on lessons on pollination and seed dispersal in August and September.
The second graders created their own bees for the pollination lesson and observed how the body and legs of the bee are specially made to attract pollen. Virtual Reality on the Oculus Prairie STEM brought virtual reality to Spring Lake with Oculus and Neurotrainer.
